1. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this Limited Warranty, (1) "Service Period" shall mean the 6-month period following the Commencement Date; (2) "Product" shall mean a Green Blob Outdoors product or system; (3) "Commencement Date" shall mean the date on which the Product is first purchased by a Customer from the Distributor or from an authorized reseller; and (4) "Customer" shall mean only the residential end-user of the Product who is the original purchaser of the equipment from an authorized reseller. The terms "you" and "your" refer to the Customer.
2. COVERAGE
During the Service Period, we will repair or replace, at our sole discretion, any defective Product. We will return the Product to a properly functioning state at no cost to you. To obtain warranty service, you must be the original purchaser and be able to provide us with the original, dated proof of purchase for the Equipment. This Limited Warranty extends only to the Customer. Replaced parts shall be covered under this Limited Warranty for the remainder of the Service Period.
3. EXCLUSIONS
This Limited Warranty does not include service needed for: (1) Customer handling or physical damage; (2) Damage resulting from installation, setup, or relocation of the Product from its original installation location; (3) Negligence, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, acts of nature, attachments, additions, or alterations; (4) Improper operating environment; (5) Any problem not involving a defect in materials or workmanship; (6) Any damage, fouling, or malfunction caused by aquatic life. This includes but is not limited to: barnacle growth or attachment, biofouling, mussel or bryozoan accumulation, algae or aquatic vegetation buildup, or physical damage caused by fish, crustaceans, or other aquatic animals.
Customers are responsible for routine inspection, cleaning, and removal of aquatic growth from the Product. Such conditions and damage are environmental in origin and are not indicative of a defect in materials or workmanship.
4. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Retain proof of purchase showing that you are the original purchaser of the Product.
• Operate the Product as specified and only for its intended purpose.
• Perform routine maintenance including inspection and removal of aquatic growth (e.g., barnacles, mussels, biofouling) to prevent damage to the housing, LEDs, and cord.
• Notify us within 30 days of detecting an issue with the Product.
• Provide photographs and other information reasonably requested by us to evaluate a warranty issue.
• Permit no work on the Product except by us or as directed by us.
• Install replacement parts or components in accordance with our instructions.
• Properly package and return the Product to us for inspection, repair, or replacement when requested (warranty requests may be denied if the Product is not returned for evaluation).
5. EXCULPATION AND INDEMNIFICATION
Our maximum liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the defective Product. We shall not be liable to you for incidental and consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. We shall not be liable for, and you hereby indemnify and hold us and every authorized service provider harmless from, damage, claim, or cause of action, direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, occurring to you, or to the employees or agents of you, or to any other third party, or to the property of any of the foregoing, which may arise as a result of any defect covered by this warranty.
Purpose of the Clear Cover Housing: The outside clear cover housing is designed to protect the LEDs from physical damage and aquatic life. Please do not attempt to remove it. The housing is NOT intended for waterproofing. In fact, it is perfectly fine for condensation to appear between the clear polymer housing and the LEDs. The LEDs themselves have been immersed in a specially designed clear polymer and carry an IP68 waterproof rating.
Cleaning: It is recommended that you clean your Blob periodically. We recommend adding a coating of Vaseline, silicone, or silicone wax every 4-6 weeks to prevent slime and marine life such as barnacles from adhering to your light.
1. DAMAGE: Do not operate any product that contains damaged cables. Replace these immediately.
2. VOLTAGE COMPATIBILITY: Never plug a product into a power receptacle other than what it is rated for.
3. MOUNTING LOCATIONS: Power supplies should be mounted in a location with plenty of ventilation that is not likely to experience water submersion.
4. RISK & LIABILITY: The customer agrees that use of a Green Blob Outdoors product is entirely at the customer’s own risk. If you are not familiar with electricity and your local electrical codes, please consult a licensed electrician.
